Diana Zeff Anderson is new JEWISHcolorado board chair

Diana Zeff AndersonDiana Zeff Anderson has been named chair of JEWISHcolorado’s board of directors.

Anderson, who is now the organization’s Israel engagement committee chair, will begin her two-year term on July 1, 2016.

Anderson assumes the role from Amy Toltz-Miller, who has served as board chair since July, 2014.

“Diana is a vital member of JEWISHcolorado’s volunteer leadership team. Her dedication and commitment to strengthening the Jewish community both locally and globally speaks volumes,” said Toltz-Miller.

“We are thrilled to have Diana take the reigns as board chair and help write the next chapter in JEWISHcolorado’s vibrant future.”

Anderson also serves on the boards of the Loup JCC, ADL and Denver Academy.

On a national and international level, Anderson is a member of the board of governors for the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) and is on both the national council and the local executive committee of AIPAC.

A Denver native, Anderson is the daughter of community pillars, the late Kal and Joyce Zeff.

Anderson made aliyah to Israel in 1981 and subsequently raised four children there. She is fluent in Hebrew and English.

Both her sons and a daughter-in-law served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and currently live in Israel with Anderson’s grandchild.

After moving back to Colorado in 2005 with her two youngest children, Anderson turned her passion for Israel into a full-time philanthropic job. She founded and currently manages the Kesher Foundation, whose mission is to build connections between Colorado and Israel.
