Denver to host GA Celebration at DCPA

As part of “Five Days of Doing Jewish” in November, when the Allied Jewish Federation will host the 2011 General Assembly (Nov. 6-8), AJF will welcome all GA delegates at the Denver Center for Performing Arts for a celebration on the second night of the GA, Monday, Nov. 7, 8:30-11 p.m.

“Welcoming delegates from within and outside of Colorado is very important to us,” said Robin Chotin, Federation’s celebratory committee co-chair.

“We are delighted to showcase the best that Denver has to offer with a Colorado-themed party focusing on our four seasons: spring, summer, winter and fall.

Whitney Chotin, celebratory event committee co-chair added:

“Each season has something to offer that is unique to ‘Colorado.’ Whether it’s extreme sports, outdoor activities, changing colors and landscapes, amazing food or local entertainment, we will celebrate everything that is special about our incredible state.”

Federation’s entertainment partner, Starkey Productions, has a lineup of local talent which will include entertainment from the Hazel Miller Band, Jewish musician Katie Glassman Trio and the Bloomers, hip-hop floating DJs, a BMX stunt team, a live trampoline exhibition, and more.

Seasonal delicacies will be served.

“This celebration will bring together awe-inspiring athletes, musicians and other performers that are guaranteed to be unforgettable,” said Celebratory Committee Co-Chair and Mile High Sports Radio personality Lisa Snyder.

The GA annually attracts over 3,000 of the most educated and influential decision makers from Jewish communities all over the globe by showcasing top speakers from the political, business, and non-profit realms.

Past conferences have hosted US presidents and Israel prime ministers.

An equally impressive line-up of keynote speakers is expected this year, including President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Colorado is an amazing place to live, work, play and be Jewish,” said Federation president and CEO Doug Seserman.

“As we welcome more than 3,000 Jewish leaders to our community, we want to highlight all the terrific things that Colorado has to offer and encourage Jews from around the world to visit Colorado or make it their home.

“Thanks to the amazing celebratory event committee, we will create the must-attend event of the season for our community.”
