David Brog, executive director of Christians United for Israel, (CUFI), will be the keynote speaker at the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorados annual Mens Event, Sunday, Nov. 21, 6-9 p.m., at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Lowry.
As an American Jew, he is an active proponent of stronger Jewish-Christian relations, particularly with regard to support of Israel.
Brog is the author of Standing With Israel: Why Christians Support the Jewish State, and other publications.
Brog is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School.
Brog replaces Pastor John Hagee, founder of CUFI, who was invited to be the featured speaker, then disinvited.
Brog has practiced corporate law both in Israel and in the US.
AJF invited Brog to speak based upon his role at CUFI and its support for Israel.
CUFI, a national grassroots public policy and advocacy lobbying organization that unites all pro-Israel Christians in America under one umbrella, has a following of over 426,000 members, and together they have contributed over $43 million in support of Israel and Israel-related causes since 2006.
It is estimated that, in total, the Christian pro-Israel movement represents 50 million Americans.
We believe that Jews need to build strategic alliances with the Christian Zionist movement as it is critical to the survival of Israel as a sovereign Jewish state, said Federations President and CEO Doug Seserman.

Before working with CUFI, Brog worked in the US Senate where, among other duties, he served as staff director of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
AJFs Mens Event is reputed to be the largest annual gathering of Jewish men west of the Mississippi.
This year Federation hopes to attract 1,400 people to the gathering.
There is no cost to attend the Mens Event; however, a minimum gift to the Federations 2011 Communal Fund/Unrestricted Giving is requested.
