Longtime Denver resident Caryl Russak passed away on Feb. 17, 2022. She was 88. A service was held Feb. 21 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Richard Rheins. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Mrs. Russak was born in Brooklyn, New York on Jan. 30, 1934. In 1951, at the age of 17, she married Sidney Russak. They were a couple until Mr. Russak’s passing in 2019.
In 1959, Mr. and Mrs. Russak moved from Baltimore to Denver, where Mr. Russak worked as an aeronautical engineer. Mrs. Russak worked in a variety of endeavors, including a catering business that did much of the catering at Rodef Shalom.
Mrs. Russak was also a stock broker and real estate broker, and also became a travel agent. And, as her son Dr. Floyd Russak said, “she was a proud member of Mensa.”
Dr. Russak added: “My mom taught me most of my skills, including how to be caring, successful and ambitious.”
Survivors include Dr. Russak (Karen), Eve-Lynn Russak and Hillary Myra Russak; and four grandchildren.
