Carol Goldstein

Carol Goldstein, a respected nurse and a health policy educator, passed away Sept. 10, 2020, in Englewood. Rabbis Evette Lutman and Sara Gilbert officiated at the private graveside service at Mt. Nebo Cemetery on Sept. 11. A memorial service was held Sept. 13 at Feldman Chapel. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Mrs. Goldstein was born Dec. 23, 1942, in Holyoke, Mass., and grew up in New York City.

She attended the High School for Performing Arts in NYC and graduated the Adelphi School of Nursing.

Mrs. Goldstein served the nursing profession in a number of venues including NYU Hospital and Denver’s Porter Hospital, where she was the first cardiac clinical specialist.

She spent 10 years teaching at Hong Kong University Medical School and pursued tobacco control throughout the territory.

Upon her return to Denver, Mrs. Goldstein taught health policy to graduate nursing students at Regis University.

She had been a political activist since a very young age.

Carol Goldstein is survived her husband Henry “Hank”; daughters Jennifer Jones, Deborah Betson and Brenda (Bill) Tuohig; and grandchildren Oliver and Alex Jones and Haley and Madison Tuohig.
