
Rabbis Selwyn Franklin, Isaac Wasserman and Dovid Nussbaum and Cantor Joel Lichterman officiated at the Oct. 12 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Bruces greatest passions were collecting friends and raising money for the charities he supported, the family said.
He was a great man with a terrific sense of humor, an iron will and a very big heart. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Kippur was born April 2, 1962, in Denver. He attended George Washington High, Adams State College and CU.
He married Merrie Margolin on Sept. 7, 1986.
Mr. Kippur was employed at Mile High Legal Services, JBC Legal Courier Service, and managed the precious metals division for Atlas Metal and Iron.
After illness forced him to retire in 2001, he devoted his time and energy as a volunteer community fundraiser.
Mr. Kippur belonged to the BMH-BJ ritual committee and Mens Choir, and chaired the bingo fundraiser. He was honored as the 2010-2011 volunteer of the year.
An active supporter of Yeshiva Toras Chaim, Mr. Kippur and his wife received the 2009 Distinguished Service Award and the 2011 Community Dedication Award.
Mr. Kippur is survived by his wife Merrie Margolin Kippur of Denver; mother Carol Hein and stepfather Jerry Hein of Denver; brothers Steve Kippur and Gary (Tandy) Kippur of Tucson, Ariz.; 14 nieces and nephews; two great-nephews; and brother-in-law David (Lorrie) Margolin of Denver and sisters-in-law Hil (Denys) Margolin of Denver and Sonia ImMashe of Ft. Collins, Colo.
He was predeceased by his father Marvin Kippur.
