Brandon Mandelbaum

Denver native Brandon Mandelbaum passed away on Feb. 11, 2023. He was 35. A service was held on February 17 at Temple Emanuel, officiated by Rabbi Emily Hyatt and Cantor Elizabeth Sacks. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Born on Aug. 27, 1987, Mr. Mandelbaum attended Beth Joseph preschool, Cherry Hills Village Elementary School and West Middle School. He was a student at Cherry Creek High School and Aspen Ranch in Utah. Following high school Mr. Mandelbaum attended Fort Lewis College in Durango.

Mr. Mandelbaum obtained a degree in massage therapy from Colorado School of Healing Arts and worked at Devil’s Thumb Resort in Winter Park. He also received a degree from the Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and worked at Boulder’s Flagstaff House.

In addition, Mr. Mandelbaum worked with his father, Gary Mandelbaum, at Karman, Inc., designing footwear.

“As a child, he was always happy,” his family said. “He loved nature, animals and his many friends. Brandon’s life came to a tragic and early end. He will be greatly missed for his caring, kindness, generosity and respect for others.”

Survivors are Mr. Mandelbaum’s parents, Debbie and Gary Mandelbaum; grandmother Dorothy Alderman; aunt and uncle Linda and Dave Ohnmacht; and cousins Bryony (Eric Marshal) Lovelett, Ian Lovelett and Scott Handler.
