Bernard Shapiro

Bernard ShapiroBernard Shapiro, a native Denverite, passed away June 15, 2011, in Denver. Rabbi Benjamin Last officiated at the June 19 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

“He earned respect and hearty good will throughout his professional life and was a best friend to all those lucky enough to have known him,” the family said. “He will be sorely missed.”

Mr. Shapiro was born Nov. 7, 1931, in Denver.

He attended North High School and DU.

From 1952-1954, Mr. Shapiro served with the US Army in the Korean War.

He was single.

Mr. Shapiro is survived by his sisters Selma Shapiro and Roberta (Ed) Garber; his niece Dr. Kerri Mills of San Francisco and nephews Dr. Mitch Garber of San Francisco, Steven Garber of Woodland Hills, Calif.; and great-niece Brandon Garber and great-niece Emily Garber.
