Bernard Bud Rand passed away on July 31, 2008 in Shaker Heights, Ohio. He was 98.
Rabbi Rosie Haim officiated the service held on Aug. 3 at Mayfield Cemetery in Cleveland. Berkowitz, Kumin, and Bookatz made the arrangements.
Mr. Rand was born on Aug. 14, 1909, in Youngstown, Ohio. He later moved to Shaker Heights, Ohio, and attended Western Reserve Law School.
He married Gertrude Sherby in June of 1934. She died in 1958. They were married for 24 years.
Mr. Rand spent his life as an attorney and a business man in Ohio.
Mr. Rand is survived by his daughters Carolyn (Ed) Koplin of Denver, and Dr. Eleanor (Robert) Wilner; grandchildren Trudy Wilner Stack (Michael), Gretchen Koplin of Denver, Lauren Finer of Littleton and Marc Finer; and great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Finer, Lindsay Finer and Molly and Noah Stack.
