Ben Goldstein, a Denver resident since childhood, passed away Dec. 29, 2012, in Denver. He was 102 years old.
Rabbis Steven Foster and Bruce Dollin and Cantors Regina Heit and Martin Goldstein officiated at the Dec. 31 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Mr. Goldstein was born Oct. 4, 1910, in New York City. He moved to Denver as a young child and quit school at age 14 to help support his family.
A soldier with the US Army in WW II, Mr. Goldstein worked for Meadow Gold Dairy after returning to the States.
In the mid-1950s, he joined Union Pacific Railways administrative office in Denver. Mr. Goldstein worked with the railroad until he retired at age 65.
On Aug. 30, 1930, he married Pauline Turner. She passed away in January, 1983. He married Dorothy Wilner on June 28, 1983. She predeceased Mr. Goldstein on Aug. 12, 2005.
Mr. Goldstein is survived by his stepchildren Stan and Liz Wolfson; brother Martin Goldstein; and grandchildren Lori Wolfson and Michael and Dana Wolfson.
