Atler Fischer chair-elect of RCF board

Jennifer Atler FischerRose Community Foundation’s board of trustees has  a new chair-elect, Jennifer Atler Fischer, and two new trustees, Katherine Gold and Monte Moses, PhD.

Atler Fischer has been a member of the RCF board since 2007. Since that time, she has chaired its health committee, and previously served on the Jewish life committee.

Atler Fischer is a founding member of the Jewish Women’s Fund of Colorado, a donor-advised fund of Rose Community Foundation.

Formerly, she was executive director of Invest in Kids, and practiced corporate and tax law as an associate at Holland & Hart.

Atler Fischer earned a degree in economics from Duke University and a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, graduating with honors from both institutions.

She has received the Be Bold award from the Women’s Foundation of Colorado, and been named a Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts-Mile High Council.

Katherine Gold has been a member of the RCF education committee since 2010.

She is president of Gold Bug, Inc.

Gold is on the board of EPIC (Executive Partnering to Invest in Children) and is past chair of the Colorado Children’s Campaign. She also is on the Federal Reserve Economic Advisory Council, 10th District. Gold has a bachelor’s degree from Pitzer College in Claremont, Calif.

Since 2007, Moses, has been a member of the RCF education committee, which he now chairs.

Moses is an educational consultant and speaker, as well as a commissioner on the Colorado Commission on Higher Education.

He was superintendent of Cherry Creek School District, an administrator at Littleton Public Schools, and a professor of education at Murray State University in Kentucky.

The author of two books and numerous articles, he holds undergraduate and master’s degrees from Stephen F. Austin University, and earned his PhD at Vanderbilt University, where he was recognized as a Peabody Scholar.
