Aspen: Ski to Live

2014 we all prayed for them. They were the ones we woke up to in the morning and fell asleep to at night. We were obsessively attached to news sites for their whereabouts and news of their safety. They were the dear chayalim, the IDF soldiers we carry an abiding affection for. They were the ones who went into harm’s way, eye to eye with Israel’s neighboring enemies of terror, discovering the tunnels and destroying them. They risked everything for us.
