Arthur Bronstein

Arthur Bronstein, one of the founders of Har HaShem in Boulder, passed away May 23, 2015, in Boulder. He was 94. The service took place May 25 at Har HaShem, followed by the burial at Mountain View Cemetery. Greenwood Myers Funeral Home made the arrangements.

Mr. Bronstein was born June 10, 1920, in Denver.

He graduated from CU in 1942 and earned an MA from Columbia University in 1946.

After his marriage to first wife Shirley Bernstein in Denver, Mr. Bronstein married Sylvia Bockstein Schwartz in 1975.

Mr. Bronstein was the president of Globe Industrial Bank, on the corner of Broadway and Spruce in Boulder, from 1963-1983.

A lifelong bridge player, he skied until he was 70 and played bridge until he was 85.

Mr. Bronstein enjoyed traveling and participating in Elder Hostels.

He also had a lifelong love of literature, particularly poetry and reading about the history of Jews in the West.

Mr. Bronstein is survived his brother Sidney Bronstein; son Michael Bronstein; and stepchildren Celia (Lawrence) Headley, Benjamin Schwartz, Janis Lynch, Marcie Haloin and Sylvia Springer.
