Arnold Kaufman

Arnold KaufmanArnold Kaufman, 91, a Denver native and longtime resident, passed away on Oct. 23, 2013, in Thousand Oaks, Calif, surrounded by his family. Services were held in Thousand Oaks.

“He will be remembered as a very outgoing person who was enthusiastic and showed a tremendous love of life,” the family said.

“His passion was the family business, where he was committed to helping customers.”

Mr. Kaufman was born July 7, 1922, in Denver. He was the eldest son of the late Al and Fanny Kaufman.

Beginning his career at a young age, he worked with his father Al in the family business, the Stores Equipment Corp.

His brothers Bernard and Stanley and brother-in-law Burt Gottesfeld later joined the company.

Mr. Kaufman remained in the family business for more than 60 years.

For the past few years, Mr. Kaufman and his wife Annette lived in southern California to be near their children and grandchildren.

Mr. Kaufman is survived by Annette Kaufman, his wife of 67 years; children Jerry and Barbara; sister Estelle Gottesfeld; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
