DENVER (IJN) — Shaun Donnelly, one of the leaders of a close to 30,000-strong closed Facebook group calling for the recall of Gov. Jared Polis, has in the past posted that Hitler was good to the German people, and “its time america has someone american,”[sic] the Greeley Tribune reported.

According to the March 24 story by Tyler Silvy, Donnelly has called the Recall Colorado Governor Jared Polis group “my group” and credited himself with creating “the movement.”

Another administrator of the group, who is also active in the associated Official Recall Election Committee, is Judy Spady. Her public Facebook page, according to Silvy, “is rife with anti-semitic posts, including a post from September 2017 saying ‘Israel did 9/11,’ and another that credits the western world with creating radical Islam to ‘use fear to push the Jew World Order.’”

The story was picked up by 9News. On March 25, Mandy Nelson, another moderator for the group, posted on Facebook that a leading organizer had been removed, alluding to Spady, and that acts of anti-Semitism would not be tolerated by the group.

“It is unfortunate that her past was not properly vetted before she was given her high profile role,” wrote Nelson.

ColoradoPols posted a screenshot of Nelson’s message to the closed group.
