Anne Ruth Skolkin, affectionately known as Nannie Annie, passed away January 31, 2018, in Denver. She was 92. Rabbi Steven Kaye officiated at the Feb. 4 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
“She lived by the Golden Rule and embodied a generous spirit until her last moments,” the family said.
“She will be deeply missed and treasured in the memory of her family and friends forever.”
Mrs. Skolkin was born Jan. 26, 1926, in Denver to Russian immigrant parents Samuel and Geisha Tannenbaum. She had four siblings.
An early feminist, Mrs. Skolkin graduated DU and was a leader in college Hillel.
She worked for United Airlines until her retirement.
Mrs. Skolkin took an active role in Sisterhood at Temple Emanuel in Hawaii and Hadassah in St. Paul, Minn.
She started the Yiddish Club at the JCC in Omaha after her retirement.
Mrs. Skolkin is survived by her son Michael (Andrea); granddaughters Marlee and Maddison; niece Marion (Peter) Wulfsohn; and granddog Bella.
