Anne Fisher

Anne FisherAnne K. Fisher, a Denver native and lifelong resident, passed away Jan. 3, 2013, in Denver. Rabbi Bruce Dollin and Cantor Martin Goldstein officiated at the Jan. 4 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

“Her primary concern was her family,” her loved ones said. “She was the family matriarch and balabusta who loved us unconditionally and around whom we flourished.

“She had a unique ability to harmonize divergent and even antagonistic opinions and integrate them into a cohesive whole through her love.”

Mrs. Fisher was born Sept. 17, 1917, in Denver, and attended Cheltenham Elementary, Lake Junior and North High schools.

She married Morey Fisher on Feb. 25, 1940.

“Morey and Anne were soul mates who never shared a cross word or raised their voices to one another,” the family said. “It was truly a loving marriage.”

Mr. Fisher passed away on June 24, 2002.

The last few years, Mrs. Fisher lived at Oakhurst, where she enjoyed the company of many friends.

Mrs. Fisher is survived by her children Sandie Simons, Larry (Joann) Fisher and Harley Fisher; grandchildren Jodi Tafoya of Denver, Todd (Susie) Morris of Seattle and Steven Simons of San Francisco; and great-grandchildren Cameron Tafoya of Denver, Max and Piper Morris of Seattle; and sister-in-law Renee Gross.
