Anabella Farkas-Schmit

Annabella Farkas-Schmit, a Denver resident from 1946-2000, passed away May 4, 2017, in Los Angeles, Calif. She was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, Calif.

Annabella Williams was born Jan. 7, 1924, in Chicago, Ill., to Morris and Jenny Williams.

Prior to marrying her first husband Howard L. Farkas, she was secretary to the director of Chicago’s regional B’nai Brith.

She later held a similar position with Louis Sidman, director of the ADL’s Rocky Mountain Region.

Annabella married Louis Schmit, who predeceased her.

Her children, Robbie K. Farkas and Richard D. Farkas, both graduated from George Washington High School. They attended law school at Harvard and UCLA, respectively.

Mrs. Farkas-Schmit is survived by her children Robbie (Jeri) Farkas and Richard (Donna) Farkas; grandchildren Brandon and Nicole (Michael Gordon) Farkas and Aubrey (Benjamin Harris) Farkas and Andrew Farkas; great-grandson Wesley David Gordon; and ex-husband Howard Farkas.
