Alexander Baker, a Denver resident since 1979, passed away July 2, 2012, in Denver. Rabbi Yaakov Meyer officiated at the July 3 graveside service at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
He was a loving and devoted husband and father, the family said.
Mr. Baker was born Aug. 25, 1914, in Chelsea, Mass. He lived in Chelsea, Dorchester and Boston, Mass., where he attended Boston Latin School.
He was in the US Army Air Corps, 1941-1945.
He lived in Chicago, where he met his wife, from late 1952 until 1979.
Mr. Baker married Sylvia Zoller Baker on July 22, 1953.
A salesman, he moved to Denver in 1979, about one year after his retirement.
He belonged to BMH-BJ, Rodef Shalom and ZOA.
Mr. Baker is survived by his wife Sylvia Z. Baker of Denver; son Mitchell Baker of Denver and daughter Ruth Anne Baker of Denver.
