Albert Hoffman, former president of the Aurora Bar Assn., passed away May 29, 2009, in Englewood. He was 65.
Rabbi Jay TelRav officiated at the May 31 service at Temple Sinai. Interment followed at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
He was a generous man with a broad sense of humor, and touched many lives through his work as a US bankruptcy trustee, the family said. He was a devoted husband and father.
Mr. Hoffman was born Nov. 23, 1944, in Los Angeles, Calif. A graduate of Hamilton High School, he earned his BA and JD at the University of Denver.
An attorney in private practice, Mr. Hoffman served as a US bankruptcy trustee. He was president of the Aurora Bar Assn., 1990-1992, and a member of the Colorado Bar Assn.
He married Helene Goldblatt on April 12, 1978.
An avid collector of sports memorabilia, Mr. Hoffman enjoyed exercise, reading, and was a lifelong learner.
Mr. Hoffman is survived by his wife Helene Hoffman; daughters Jennifer Hoffman and Elizabeth (Michael) Hoffman-Silverman; mother Shirley Hoffman; and brother Irwin (Terri) Hoffman.
