A private graveside service, livestreamed on Zoom, took place on July 28, 2020 for Alan Kopel Levin of Cherry Hills Village, a businessman and enthusiastic athlete. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Born April 28, 1942 in Peekskill, NY, Mr. Levin was a champion swimmer and diver at Peekskill Military Academy. His team was inducted to the International Swimming and Diving Hall of Fame as the finest high school swimming team in history.

He played football at the University of Pennsylvania, graduated with honors and earned a Masters from the Annenberg School of Communication.

He recruited Colorado scholars and athletes for Penn. He was a guest lecturer at the Wharton School and given the 2016 Alumni Award of Merit.

Levin moved to Denver where he would spend the next 55 years. In Denver, he met and married Anna.

He built five companies over 33 years. Among his successful business innovations was the “Glamorene” venture which rented rug shampooers from grocery stores.

“One of Alan’s superpowers was his ability to put a smile on anyone’s face,” his family said.

“No matter if you were a complete stranger or a lifelong friend, Alan made people feel like they have known him forever. . . . While he may have been known for his humor, when things got serious, Alan was always the first one to selflessly help those in need.”

Levin was the husband of Anna Levin; the father of Ron (Kara) Levin and Brian (Allison) Levin; the grandfather of Jace, Luke Alan, Sam, Jake and Alexa; and the brother of Milton (Pamela) Levin.
