Adrian Sol Rose, a popular Yellow Cab driver for over 40 years, passed away Sept. 3, 2017. Rabbi Eliot Baskin officiated at the Sept. 5 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Shalom Funeral Service made the arrangements.
Mr. Rose was born April 23, 1932, in Chicago to Sam and Jennie Rose.
He and his late twin brother Paul were known as the twin drivers for Yellow Cab, their employer for over 40 years.
Mr. Rose had a generous nature and was willing to go the extra mile for his customers.
He always kept copies of the Intermountain Jewish News in his cab for incoming Jewish passengers at the airport.
Mr. Rose bowled with the B’nai B’rith Bowling League in Denver for decades.
He also gave generously to multiple charities.
Mr. Rose is survived by his children Sheldon Spiegelman of Denver, Steve McDowell of Crestone, Colo., Aaron Rose of Seattle, Washington, and Shanna (Rose) Cole of Palisade, Colo.; and brother Bernard Rose of Chicago.
He also is mourned by his nieces, nephews and cousins.
