Democrats and Republicans are entrenched in their respective partisan aisles dueling over the debt ceiling crisis. They seem more concerned about politics than the body politic.
Ever watch two drivers involved in a minor car accident scream at each other about whos at fault? Caught up in high drama, they often neglect to ask, Are you OK?
We can only hope that our government lays aside its partisan agenda long enough to ask whether we the people are OK.
