Abe KrovitzAbe Krovitz, 97, passed away Nov. 26, 2008, in Duluth, Minn.

The funeral service was held in Duluth.

“Abe will be missed by everyone who knew him,” the family said. “His warm heart touched everyone.”

Mr. Krovitz was born March 12, 1911, in Lithuania.

He owned the Cash and Carry Food Market in Duluth.

Following his retirement, Mr. Krovitz and his wife Sally moved to Sun City, Ariz., where they lived for 25 years.

Mrs. Krovitz passed away in 2000. The couple was together for 68 years.

After his wife’s death, Mr. Krovitz returned to Duluth.

Mr. Krovitz is survived by his children Marilyn (Larry) Blunt of Sacramento, Calif. and Robert “Buzz” (Shelley) Krovitz of Greenwood Village; sister Ann Cohen of Duluth; grandchildren Kirk (Patti) Lange of Sacramento, David (Dr. Lauren Hyman) Krovitz of Calabasas, Calif., Gail (Jeff Greenstein) Krovitz and Matthew Krovitz, both of Denver; sister-in-law Esther Krovitz of Duluth; and great-grandchildren Carolyn and Aaron Lange, Sarine and Rhett Krovitz, and Russell Greenstein.
