Excuse us, Mayor Bloomberg? Those words, or words to that effect, uttered by you after the capture of the Times Square terrorist suspect, are downright stupid as you applied them to the terrorists of radical Islam.
The distinction between radical adherents of Islam, who engage in and glorify terrorism, from the rest of Islam, would be totally unnecessary if they were only a few bad apples. An elementary point, no?
We have become accustomed to the living-in-denial nonchalance of the Obama administration types who schoolmarmishly admonish us after terrorist attacks not to engage in mental profiling of Muslims, and who, of course, would themselves never engage in profiling at airports or other such points of national security.
Never mind that we have yet to meet our first American citizen who equates radically Islamic terrorists with all adherents of Islam.
Never mind that the Times Square terror suspect is radically Islamic; that the Aurora-Queens suspect is radically Islamic; that the Ft. Hood shooter is radically Islamic; that all of the 9/11 perpetrators were radically Islamic; that the list of radically Islamic terror convicts and suspects goes on and on; that most adherents of Islam are not included while those who are boast about it. They are proud to be radically Islamic terrorists, proud of the orchard whence they spring.
Merely a few bad apples not an entire orchard Mr. Mayor?
Then why is it that in the Middle East, there is not one known Jewish suicide bomber, but that every known suicide bomber is either Arab or Muslim or both?
Why is it that scores of American troops have died in Iraq and Afghanistan at the hands of Arab or Muslim suicide bombers?
Why is it that the intelligence agencies of the United States expend great effort and funds to infiltrate mosques, but not churches and synagogues?
These are the facts, Mr. Mayor. You are free to deny them and play the ostrich. Thank G-d your police force does not.
You insult the intelligence and basic decency of all Americans, including New Yorkers, by pleading against a backlash against Pakistanis or Muslims. The only people thinking about such a backlash seem to be you and Obama administration types. Direct your admonishments to yourself and to them.
The rest of us merely see the world in its true colors: Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing as an orchard of terrorists motivated by Islam.
How can this possibly be defeated if it is not acknowledged?
