16-year-old Denver girl vanishes

Monday, March 14, BMH-BJ Executive Director Debra Lazer woke up to a mother’s worst nightmare when she discovered that her 16-year-old daughter had absconded with a man she met on the Internet. Lazer’s car and purse were also taken. It wasn’t until an 18-year-old stranger showed up at her front door around March 11 that this intelligent, hard-working single mother learned of the online relationship. “They met two months ago on an app called Meetme.com,” Lazer tells the Intermountain Jewish News March 21, exactly one week after her daughter’s abrupt departure.
