David Charney, a WW II veteran, passed away July 25, 2016, in East Hampton, NY. He was 94. Cantor Debbie Stein officiated at the July 28 service in East Hampton.
Mr. Charney was born May 18, 1922, in Ukraine, Russia.
He immigrated to the US and settled in Flushing, NY.
From 1942-1946, he served in the US Air Force.
Mr. Charney married Doris Charney on April 2, 1948.
He was a businessman and a photographer.
Mr. Charney is survived by his wife of 68 years Doris Charney; children Ann, Star and Michael; grandchildren Elizabeth, Eric, Jeffrey, Jeremy and Rebecca; and great-granddaughter Emilia.
