DAT announces the appointment of Kathy Neal-Bashari as development director.

In her role as development director Neal-Bashari is building on the previous efforts of the DAT board of directors, volunteers and school staff to enhance a healthy base of financial support and strengthen fiscal stability.

Neal-Bashari is identifying and developing new streams of funding, including new donors, foundation grants, special events and corporate sponsorship.

She is also working with the board to enhance DAT’s strategic planning process for short and long-term development goals, and spearheading marketing and press relations.

For the past 30 years, Neal-Bashari has been a professional in the Jewish federation system, primarily as a fundraiser. She started at the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado in 1986 and stayed there for nine years, her last four as the assistant campaign director.

She then moved to Nevada to be the campaign director of the Jewish federation of Las Vegas, and then to Los Angeles to work for UJC as the Western Region major gifts director.

After moving to Israel for two years, she returned to Denver and joined the federation for another six years, as director of campaign and donor services.
